Klitschko Thompson Preview

This is a short preview about the upcoming fight Wladimir Klitschko vs. Tony Thompson in Hamburg, Germany. The report was broadcasted on July 7, 2008 by Ukrainian TV Channel 1+1. It shows a little of the press conference that was held today in Hamburg for the Klitschko vs. Thompson title bout this Saturday July 12th. It also shows some of the 25 flag-waving Russian models who came via a doubledecker tour bus who were accompanied by a DJ and ring announcer who handed out Russian vodka & sweets, and t-shirts that read, "Klitschko - I want you" as a reminder of Klitschko's mandatory if successful against Thompson this fall against Alexander Povetkin.

During the press conference, as a reply to the Povetkin reminder, Klitschko has the following to say: "Thompson has deserved to fight me. He has waited for one year. Povetkin is still young. I am happy to give him the time to prepare for me."

On July 19 Povetkin will have a showdown with Taurus Sykes which will take place in Chekhov, his home town.
