Klitschko Povetkin In December

It's official. The 29 year old Russian IBF mandatory Alexander "The White Lion" Povetkin, will fight for the WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight championship of the world this December 13th against Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko. The fight will take place in Mannheim, Germany at the SAP ARENA.

Povetkin won Gold in the super heavyweight division at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. As a professional he's undefeated with 16 wins(12 by KO), and with 0 draws.

The 32 year old Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko won the Gold at super heavyweight in the 1996 Olympics, and has had 54 fights with only 3 losses and has had 45 wins by knockout.

This should be an interesting match because both fighters are confident, won't back down, and it will be a fight between 2 Gold medalist at super heavy from the respective countries of Russian and Ukraine.

Povetkin will fight and won't be afraid to get hit, but because of this I feel this will be Wladimir's easiest fight for quite awhile outside of Ray Austin. Come back for more up-to-date information on this fight.
