It was announced today (March 21st, 2008) that former WBC & WBO Heavyweight champion and current leader of his own bloc in the Municipal Council of Ukraine’s capital Kiev, will participate in the elections for Kiev's mayor. Vitali believes his chances of winning are "not bad", and considering 1 in 3 citizens of Kiev support his candidancy he may have a good point.
How will this effect Vitali's boxing plans?
I have found no information indicating whether he will continue his boxing career or put it on hold. But, I will be updating information on here as I stumble across it.
