Sultan Ibragimov Retires

Sultan Ibragimov has decided to call it quits. He will be remembered for his silver Olympic medal at the 2000 Olympics along with a win over Shannon Briggs to claim the WBO title, a win over for heavyweight champion and great Evander Holyfield, and a 12 round unanimous loss decision to Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko back in February of last year

The news of his retirement is according to Samson Lewkowicz of Warriors Boxing who said, "“He retired. He doesn’t want to go back and sweat in the gym. He got married, he’s very happy, he lives in Russia. He’s a millionaire, he doesn’t need to fight any more.”

He ends his heavyweight boxing career with a record of 22-1-1 with 17 KO’s. Good luck to Sultan on all his future endeavors.
