Ray Austin Defeats Long

On his comeback trail since losing easily to current WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Wladimir "Steelhammer" Klitschko, Ray “The Rainman” Austin (27-4-4, 17 KOs) squeaked out a 8 round decision over the 7 foot Julius Long (15-11, 13 KOs).

The most notable moment of the fight was in the 8th round when Austin dropped Long, but Ray was unable to capitalize, and was even deducted 2 points for hitting Long while he was on the ground.

This makes the 3rd fight (Domonic Jenkins, Andrew Golota, and now Long) in a row that he's won since losing to Wladimir, and since he was ranked highly before, don't be surprised to see him high in the rankings soon if he continues to win.
