Making an impressive statement to the heavyweight scene former cruiser weight champion turned heavyweight David "Hayemaker" Haye (22-1, 21 KOs) easily defeated 2 time title challenger and heavyweight contender Monte "Two Gunz" Barrett(34-7, 20 KOs) tonight at the O2 Arena in London.
Haye knocked Barrett down a total of 5 times in route to a 5Th round TKO win at the 1:28 minute mark of the round.
Vitali Klitschko was at the match, and was interested in a potential showdown with Haye in the future, but didn't rule out that his brother may take his shot against him as well.
I personally was surprised at how easily Haye handled Barrett. I thought that Haye would get popped a few times and his chin would be in question, but he seems to have made the transition quite well to heavyweight. Look for a mega fight between Haye and 1 of the Klitschko's in the coming year.
