Banks vs Gavern On Klitschko Sosnowski Card

On the undercard of the WBC heavyweight championship fight between Vitali Klitschko vs Albert Sosnowski this May 29th, the 27 year old current NABF heavyweight Jonathan Banks (24-1(17) overall and 4-0(3) as a heavyweight) will take on the 33 year old Jason Gavern 19-7-3(8).

Banks got his NABF title last by beating Travis Walker by knockout back in March on the undercard of Wladimir Klitschko vs Eddie Chambers.

Should be a decent match-up. If Banks wins, it would be interesting to see if Banks get a rematch with Adamek at heavyweight...

Klitschko Chambers Undercard

There are going to be some great match ups on the undercard for the Wladimir Klitschko vs Eddie Chambers heavyweight championship match this Saturday, March 20th.

In the co-main event WBC #12 ranked heavyweight and former cruiserweight Johnathan Banks (23-1, 16 KOs) will face Travis Walker (34-3, 28 KOs). Also, WBA #6 heavyweight Alexander Ustinov (19-0, 15 KOs) will face Ed Mahone (24-9-2, 23 KOs). The fights will take place in the 51,000 seat ESPRIT arena in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Tom Loeffler Quotes

* Managing director of K2 Promotions

“We are excited to have Johnathon Banks fighting Travis Walker for the NABF heavyweight championship on this big show. This is a risky and tough fight for both fighters, but the winner will secure the NABF title and move a step closer to a world title shot.”

The good news is that the live ppv stream will be showing the co-main event with Banks vs Walker, and Ustinov vs Mahone starting at 4pm ET / 1pm PT before the Klitschko vs Chambers main event which starts at 6pm ET / 3pm PT. You can get your stream pass for only $14.95 by clicking the banner below.
