Today was the weigh in between the current WBO, IBF, IBO, and Ring heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko and the WBO #1 ranked mandatory contender Eddie Chambers ahead of their championship fight this Saturday, March 20th in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Wladimir Klitschko weighed in at 244 pounds (111 kg) while Chambers weighed-in at 209 pounds (95kg). So, this is a 35 lb weight advantage for Klitschko. Not only that but Wladimir is a extremely chiseled 244 lbs vs Chambers who doesn't look nearly as fit at 209. So, the weight advantage is even greater if you consider this.
The weigh-in was pretty crazy. It took place on the 3rd floor of Karstadt, which is a busy department store in Dusseldorf, on a temporary stage built between the pillow department and the picture frame selection.
Klitschko even poked a jab at Chambers. Klitschko joked that Chambers was a mere cruiserweight. Then Wlad moved the metal slider on the scale several inches before he stepped on.
