Where To Watch Klitschko vs Chambers

This is the post to come back to for up-to-date information on where to watch the WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight championship fight between current champ Wladimir "Steelhammer" KLitschko won 53 (KO 47) + lost 3 (KO 3) + drawn 0 = 56 and mandatory top rated American heavyweight "Fast" Eddie Chambers won 35 (KO 18) + lost 1 (KO 0) + drawn 0 = 36.

The bad news is that as of now there appears to be no US networks that will be showing the fight-- so no HBO, Showtime, Versus, nothing. Hopefully, a network might come to their senses and show this, but that doesn't seem like a very good possibility.

As far as a PPV event, the word is that possibility for a PPV of this event went through for reasons not known as of now, but instead the only for sure way to watch this fight will be a live paid web broadcast for $14.95. I guess this is better than nothing and anyone in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico can watch the ppv fight there. Wladimir Klitschko and the managing director of KMG Bernd Boente had a few words to say about the event. Here's what they had to say.

Wladimir Klitschko Quotes

"I am excited about the possibilities of web broadcasting. I enjoy working on the computer and I am very interested in new technologies. I like the idea that we are pioneers with this new technology in a very important market. I am sure this technology will be the wave of the future."

Bernd Boente Quotes

"The US market is technologically far developed and mature for this. We are opening up new grounds in boxing and show that we are open to innovation. Other sport or music events already went that way and had great success."

Where To Watch Overseas

They say they will broadcast live in 110 countries and Germany which will show the fight live on RTL. RTL will show the fight starting at 22:05.

Ok now this isn't video footage but ESPN will be having a round by round coverage of the fight here. So, if you can't watch at least you will know whats going on in the fight.

  3. Why is this fight not telecast in the U.S.? Meanwhile, we have all these South American featherweights and their beer commercials I simply can not understand, inundating the sport. These cats weigh a buck ten and no one cares about them unless they are from one of these countries or under a buck ten! Why? The greatest heavyweight of the last decade is foreign, Caucasian- even worse offense in the eyes of thee holier than holy politically correct America. Has the boxing community deliberately shunned one (or two if you count his brother) of the greatest fighters of our time?
Or has the demographic swung so far to the Hispanic side, that white heavyweight champions that unify the belts be dismissed or marginalized?
    This sucks.
Someone please air the frigging fight.
