According to inside sources, their is a great chance that WBC heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko(37-2, 36 KOs) could defend his belt against unbeaten American top contender Chris Arreola(27-0, 24 knockouts )on September 26th at The Staples Centre in Los Angeles, CA.
Supposedly, the same date (September 12th) that Vitali was going to face David Haye before Haye backed out was discussed and Arreola said no to this date, but said yes to the 26th. Nothing is confirmed yet, but this fight looks to be very close to being made. Come back for more info.

Haye Talks Valuev
This is a new video showing a live interview with David Haye as he discusses his reasons for his upcoming match(he backed out of what appeared to be a done deal fight with Vitali Klitschko on September 12th) with Nicolai Valuev for the WBA heavyweight title this November 7th, and about the Valuev fight itself..
Haye On Valuev Part 1
Haye on Valuev Part 2
Valuev Confirmed WBA Undisputed Champ
With Ruslan Chagaev being the WBA "champion in recess" and Nicolai Valuev being the WBA champ, there was questions who was the actual champion, but now the WBA ratings indicate clearly that Nicolai Valuev is the undisputed WBA heavyweight champion. Here's what Chris Meyer, General Manager of Team Sauerland had to say...
“We welcome the WBA´s decision. It confirms what we have been saying for a long time – that Nikolai Valuev is the undisputed WBA Heavyweight Champion. Since the new ratings clearly state who the true champion is, we can now submit the applications for official approval of Niko´s next fight – the voluntary defence against David Haye,”

Wladimir Klitschko On Haye's 2nd Fight Pullout
With the recent announcement that David Haye has backed out of a 2nd Klitschko fight(June 20th backed out against Wladimir Klitschko citing unproven back injury, and against Vitali Klitschko when everything seemed set in stone scheduled for September 12th,2009), Wladimir Klitschko has expressed his anger with David Haye being unprofessional.
“Already during the negotiations for my June fight, we realized quickly that Haye and Booth are very unprofessional. Booth might be a good trainer but as a manager he is simply incompetent. David always had a big mouth and tried to offend us with ridiculous self-made t shirts. But when it comes up to step into the ring and show what he’s got, he runs away. He even admits that fighting Valuev is the easier way. For me Haye is a little, inexperienced kid who is afraid of his own courage. Doubtless, my brother would have knocked him out within the first four rounds.”

Ruiz' Advisor & Attorney Against Haye Valuev
Since it has been announced that Nicolai Valuev will face David Haye as a voluntary fight on November 7th, 2009, Ruiz’ advisor and attorney Anthony Cardinale, and Judd Burstein, a prominent boxing lawyer, emailed everyone relating to the David Haye vs Nicolai Valuev event the following:
“There has been a recent press release quoting David Haye as claiming that he has come to an agreement to fight Nicolai Valuev for the WBA title this coming November. I am writing to inform the WBA Championship Committee that John Ruiz, the WBA Heavyweight Official Challenger, will not stand by and allow such a bout to take place.
“First, Valuev must honor his mandatory obligation to John Ruiz.
“Valuev won the title on August 30th, 2008 and had an interim title fight against Evander Holyfield last December, when the WBA ranked Holyfield out of nowhere to accommodate Valuev and his promoter. Following that Holyfield bout, Valuev was scheduled to fight (Ruslan) Chagaev last April to clear up the heavyweight title situation. On behalf of Mr. Valuev, Mr. (Pat) English claimed that the Chagaev fight was the equivalent of a mandatory bout, requiring Mr. Ruiz to wait a year for a chance. Chagaev was, however, medically declared unfit. Since, he then fought, in violation of specific WBA rules, for the IBF and WBO championships, and lost. Therefore, he no longer may be considered the WBA champion.
“Accordingly, with a year since his last championship victory about to pass, Valuev must fight his next bout as his mandatory against Mr. Ruiz. John Ruiz will not sit by and permit another delay so that Valuev can have another interim fight, especially against another opponent who is not even rated by the WBA. If the WBA Regulations are to have any meaning, there can be no other result. Put simply, John Ruiz has not agreed to permit any bout for the WBA Heavyweight Championship unless he is one of the participants, and he will take any and all legal action necessary to protect his interests.”

Valuev Interview Ahead Of Haye Fight
WBO heavyweight champion Nicolai Valuev was recently interviewed by fightnews.com ahead of his rather suddenly announced clash with David Haye who was originally scheduled to fight Vitali Klitschko on September 12th from numerous reports but will now fight Valuev on November 7th.
Hello, Niko! I am glad to see you again!
Hi, Alex! Fightnews.com best regards!
Niko, news about your fight with Haye has left many shocked. How quickly did you make a decision to take this fight?
Negotiations were conducted very quickly. It didn’t take long for me to think about and agree to this fight. I am sure that I’m better than him.
You knew that Haye would pull out of the fight with Vitali Klitschko?
Yes, I knew about it, but Vitali has not followed through on his promises. Several months ago Vitali and I spoke by phone and agreed to have a fight between us. Then Vitali stopped speaking to me. I communicated this to my promoter and they informed me that Klitschko doesn’t wish to fight me. What should I do after that? Wait? But by the time of this fight I’ll have not fought for nearly a year. A strong contender is necessary for me. I have chosen Haye. Unlike Team Klitschko, we have quickly come to an agreement with him.
Now having selected Vitali’s planned opponent, do you think this could cost you a fight against the Klitschkos?
If the Klitschko brothers wish to claim all the titles, they should fight me.
Haye hasn’t always proved to be a gentleman. You know about his t-shirt depicting the chopped-off heads of the Klitschko brothers. Are you ready for such treatment?
I think that will only make it worse for Haye! He will not distract me from my psychological balance. I have immunity to such things. And if he does manage to provoke me, he will be held responsible in the ring!
Why have you have chosen Haye? He’s not the official challenger on your title.
It’s my voluntary defense and I can fight with whomever I want.
The WBA’s mandatory challenger John Ruiz is protesting the fight and demanding through his lawyers that the WBA not authorize a fight between you and Haye.
Who is John Ruiz? To me it’s scandalous that he lives all his life in court in front of a judge. I’ve already beat him two times. I’m much stronger than him. He is not interesting to me as a challenger!
What about the fact that Haye has had only one fight in the division since officially moving to heavyweight?
He was the world champion at cruiserweight. He is very fast and dangerous, but I know that I’ll win. I’ll look at his fights, I’ll study him. I know he likes to talk for long amounts of time, but I will make the fight short.
Haye has stated that he refused the fight against Klitschko because of a bad contract. What conditions did Haye demand?
I don’t know. Ask my promoter. But I think it wasn’t the money. I know that Klitschko offered bad conditions for Haye. I even looked at the contract. These conditions were awful! The Klitschko brothers think only of their own benefit when make contracts for their opponents.
When you will begin preparation for fight?
For two weeks I’ve been preparing for the fight. Now I’m preparing in Russia, then I’ll have my main camp in Germany.
Are you afraid that Haye will pull out of the fight as he did with the Klitschko brothers?
No. After dealing with Ruslan Chagaev, now I’m not afraid of anything.
Curious to know how he got a hold of the contract to view. .....

Haye Backs Out Of Another Klitschko Fight!
It sounded to me like it was a done deal. In fact from many reports its sounded as though it were a done deal, but now David Haye will take on the WBA heavyweight champion Nicolai Valuev on Noverber 7th instead of facing Vitali Klitschko in September 12th! So this makes the 2nd fight in a row that David Haye was going to through with with a Klitschko but has backed out on. The 1st being his fight that was signed with Wladimir Klitschko back in June citing a back injury and now his brother Vitali Klitschko.
This is very unusual a 55,000 seat stadium had already been secured for the fight and much more. It's probably safe to say that the Klitschko's are not too happy with David Haye or doing business with him in the future! Come back for more up-to-date information on this event.
Haye Quotes
**On fighting Valuev
“I am thrilled to announce that my dream of becoming world heavyweight champion will be realized on November 7, when I challenge the tallest and heaviest champion of all time, Nikolai Valuev."
“Valuev’s known as ‘The Beast From The East’ and there’s a reason he’s got that nickname - he’s a big, ugly, sweaty and hairy man from the Eastern Bloc."
“Valuev is eight stone heavier than me and a foot taller than me. David only needed a slingshot and a stone to flatten Goliath, and I’m convinced my right hand generates more power than a stone.”
**On not fighting Vitali Klitschko
“There were reports in the German press that I had signed to fight Vitali Klitschko in September, but those reports were never true."
“There have been long and exhausting discussions about the clash, but unfortunately I could never put my name to the fight contract the Klitschkos offered. The level of disrespect they have shown me throughout has left me feeling insulted.
“As for signing the contract, now that I realise just how much support and interest I have from the people in Germany, it would have been like selling my soul to the devil. I will not be a slave fighter.”
**What he'll do if he beats Valuev
“Once I have snatched Valuev’s title, I will be happy to battle out heavyweight supremacy with the Klitschkos, but only on equal and fair terms."
“As the WBA heavyweight champion, I should be able to meet them without having to sign my life away. Beating Valuev and taking his WBA title is my best chance of securing unification.
“I only hope the Klitschkos still want to fight me after I have slayed ‘The Beast’.”
**Further quotes
“I can’t wait to step into the ring on November 7 and prove that size doesn’t matter. Mark my words: I will be the first man to knock Nikolai Valuev out.”
Sauerland Quotes
**On Valuev/Haye being signed
“It is a done deal. The contracts have been signed. The fight will fascinate boxing fans all over the world.” It is about time that someone teaches him a lesson. I am sure Niko will be more than happy to do that.”
**On Valuev vs Vitali Klitschko falling through
“I know that a lot of boxing fans really wanted to see Valuev fighting Vitali. We wanted to make this fight happen. It was our top priority and I had really good talks with Vitali. But all of a sudden I did not hear back – I could not get in touch with his management any more. We were under time pressure and at some point we had to look for a different opponent. We are happy to present an up-and-coming challenger such as David Haye. I am sure it will be an exciting fight.”
Valuev Quotes
**After hearing Haye's remarks...
“It is not the first time that my opponents have said things like that. Haye is a young man with a big mouth. Let him talk. It will be different in the ring. He will certainly not get my belt!”
Shelly Finkel Quotes
*Klitschko's advisor
"We had a letter from his lawyer yesterday, all the points were pretty much agreed to. There were some technical things to be worked out with Sky TV and the German network. Then we couldn't get them on the phone. If he thinks Valuev is an easier fight or a better deal, then that's his purgative - but be a man and don't just disappear and avoid everyone."

Chambers Ready For Klitschko
After his great performance last Saturday night when he defeated the WBO #1 Alexander Povetkin by decision, "Fast" Eddie Chambers and his promoter believes he is ready to take on current WBO/IBF/IBO/Ring heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko as a mandatory.
Chambers On His Performance
“There were times, like in the twelfth round, I was in there and I had him going and he was trying to hold and survive. That says a lot about him and his ability to survive and the heart he showed to begin the fight honestly. I was hitting him with some hellacious shots, you know, people don’t think I can punch but I could tell you speed is power and I am a lot stronger than people think. There’s not a heavyweight in this division out there that I can really believe is strong enough to deal with me — and my speed, as well.”
“I was hitting him with some sharp shots that he really couldn’t see coming and they were really bugging him and he couldn’t get away from them, so that says a lot about his heart, not about my inactivity I would say.”
Chambers On The Decision
“I actually didn’t know what [the ring announcer] said, but I heard the crowd boo so I was hoping I didn’t lose on that guy’s card. I guess it was a draw and we didn’t understand, but that I was like ‘wow.’ When I heard the crowd boo I knew something was up. I was just so worried and even until the last scorecard was read and until they said my name I wasn’t completely satisfied or happy because I didn’t know what was going on, but once they raised my hand I was fine.”
Dan Goossen On Chambers vs Klitschko & His Future
*Chamber's Promoter
“Right now we’re going to see what happens next with Wladimir and we’ll probably parallel that. We certainly don’t want to keep Eddie out of action and just wait for Klitschko. So we’ll go there and take it one step at a time from that end."
“You know, one thing that I do want to mention is that which you touched on and something that Rob Murray said to Eddie afterwards and Eddie said it also, is that he could really step it up even further. That gets back to only being 60% of what you saw is what he is capable of doing. Just think if he really would have stepped on the pedal a little bit more, how devastating it would be. We expect that in every fight Eddie will improve even more so in his performances because Eddie found out first hand that offensively he’s a lot more dangerous when he is throwing punches rather than sitting back waiting.”
“To me, Eddie has certainly put himself right there at the top and Arreola certainly is right to say that he is the top American, but I like it when people are going to make choices of who is the best of the American heavyweights and it goes beyond that. I think they would both say forget being the best American heavyweight, they probably both feel they’re the best heavyweight in the world and there is nothing wrong with that"
“I’m just happy to be a part of both of them and assisting in their opportunity to realize their dreams, eventually fight one another and truly find out who the best young heavyweight in the world is — after they beat the Klitschkos!”

Chambers Dimitrenko Post Fight Press Confernce
After the WBO heavyweight elimination fight between former WBO #1 Alexander Dimitrenko and heavyweight contender "Fast" Eddie Chambers on Saturday night, they and their respective promoters, and trainer had a few words to say at the post fight press conference.
Eddie Chambers Quotes
“Happy Birthday Sascha! It was a great fight. He showed that he’s a future champion. He didn’t succeed today, but he will succeed sometime. This fight was a good test, a good and strong opponent at the right time. Today I proved how fast and good I am. I showed everyone and defeated Dimitrenko. So when possible I’m ready for the fight with Vladimir Klitschko - this was the perfect preparation!”
Alexander Dimitrenko Quotes
“Today was not my day. I came into this fight badly, my hands were somehow jammed up and [the punches] didn’t flow like normal. I’m not looking for excuses. I clearly lost. I’d like to closely analyze this fight with my trainer Fritz and learn from it. One learns the most from defeats. Every great boxer has lost. It doesn’t break them, they come back stronger. I’m 27 years old for another half an hour. The best time for a heavyweight is age 30. I have the goal to fight for a world championship more than ever. I will succeed. I’m sorry that I disappointed the fans. But thus is life. It also goes on after defeats.”
Fritz Sdunek Quotes
*Dimitrenko's trainer
“It’s a pity when after a great heavyweight fight one doesn’t stand as a winner. But after the fifth round Sasha got off track. We’ll analyze the defeat and work on his weaknesses. He’ll get there. He has the talent. Today he proved he has the heart also.”
Klaus-Peter Kohl Quotes
*Universum Promoter
“I predicted that this would be a crossroads fight for Sasha and today he proved that he has heart. For twelve rounds he tried everything and gave everything. I believe Sasha will succeed. With heavyweights one must have the necessary patience. He showed a fighter’s mentality. This was the most important. We’ll give him enough time.”
Dan Goossen Quotes
*Promoter of Eddie Chambers
“It was a great fight. Dimitrenko showed a big fighter’s heart. Eddie did a very good job. Today we saw the true “Fast Eddie” Chambers! Special thanks go to trainer Robert Murray and the whole team.”

Chambers Beats Dimitrenko!
In a pretty one sided affair, "Fast" Eddie Chambers(35-1, 18 KOs) gave previously unbeaten and #1 WBO ranked Alexander (29-1, 19 KOs) a boxing lesson and won by decision last night in a WBO eliminator at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Over the course of 12 rounds Dimitrenko failed to be consistent on using his height and range, and Chambers exploited this with very good counters and quick hands.
The 1st few rounds saw Chambers getting the better of the exchanges and by round 7 Chambers landed a solid body shot that gave Dimitrenko a standing 8 count.
In round 10 Chambers knocked the mouthpiece out of Dimitrenko and he fell. He survived the round and in round 12 Chambers again rocked Alexander.
Surprisingly, after such a 1 sided fight one judge scored the fight a draw! The scorecards read: 113-113 (Paul Thomas), and 116-111, 117-109
