Valuev Ruiz 2 For Vacant WBA Title
After Ruslan Chagaev was forced to pull out of his scheduled rematch with WBA mandatory Nicolai Valuev due to a Achilles tendon tear, the WBA has awarded Chagaev with "champion with recess" and has given until August 31st for Valuev & Ruiz to face each other for the vacant WBA title. With the "champion in recess" title Chagaev has the opportunity to face the newly crowned champion sometime before June 26th, 2009.
