U.S. Olympian Jason Estrada is set to face Lance ‘Mount’ Whitaker on April 4th 2008. The 2004 U.S. Olympian Jason “Big Six” Estrada (11-1, 2 KOs) is coming of a recent 10 round decision win over heavyweight title contender Charles Shufford. Lance Whitaker(32-4-1, 27) is 6'8" and has beaten top prospects such as Al "Ice" Cole, and former WBC champion Oleg Maskaev in his past. 3 out of 4 of Whitaker's losses have came to top heavyweights Luan Krasniqi, Jameel Mccline, and former WBO heavyweight champion Sultan Ibragimov.
This should be a good test for Estrada. If he can beat Whitaker on April 4th, he'll be in the mix with other ranked fighters in the division. But, I personally don't feel he has the KO power to make it with the bigger boys in the division like Wladimir Klitschko, Sam Peter, Nicolai Valuev, and Ruslan Chagaev.
